TASTING - Barefoot Fruitscato

Today... we will be exploring the depths of wine in tasting this Barefoot Blueberry Fruitscato. This is a non-vintage flavored Moscato, made from traditional Muscat grapes, is from California, USA and costs $9.99.

According to a full review on tastings.com, "Violet color. Tropical aromas of blackberry-sage lozenge, honey, and earth with a satiny, vibrant, petillant, very sweet light-to-medium body and an even, relaxed finish with no oak flavor. A brambly, funky flavored Moscato." I could not agree with this review any more. This wine tasted of blueberry, honey and blackberry. A very sweet medium bodied wine with a bold blueberry flavor and aroma. Personally I love blueberry ANYTHING so this was a pleasant treat to end dinner with. Was eaten alone after a dinner of tacos. According to page 86 this wine is supposed to taste of lemon, mandarin, pear, and orange blossom. After reading this I could then detect the citrus notes in this wine but the huge flavor of blueberry overtook that flavor. Overall 9/10, would recommend.
